The history of electrolysis goes back centuries, with Michael Faraday naming the process in the early 1800s. By passing direct current through an electrolyte, electrolysis drives a chemical reaction at the electrodes. While anodes can be made from various conductive materials—including graphite, metals, and semiconductors—BADGERCHROME anodes are built on titanium substrates and coated with mixed metal oxides (MMO) via thermal deposition to enhance performance and chemical selectivity.

Our DSA technology reduces unwanted side reactions and increases product consistency, making it ideal for industrial electrolysis, hydrometallurgy, and custom electrolyzer systems.
