Cathodic Protection (CP)

A corrosion-control method that makes a metal structure the cathode of an electrochemical cell, so the structure stops corroding and a connected anode does the corroding or discharging instead. CP protects pipelines, storage tanks, water tanks, marine structures and reinforced concrete.
