Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP)
Cathodic Protection
A CP system that uses an external DC power source, usually a rectifier, to push current from long-life anodes onto the structure. ICCP suits large or poorly coated structures such as long pipelines, tank farms and piers. Common ICCP anodes are graphite, high silicon cast iron and MMO.
